During an epidemic in Palermo in the early 1900s, the patrons noticed the restorative power of that excellent meat broth. The trattoria has become very famous in the city, thanks to this. The nickname “from the doctor” was born for the white coats worn by the owners, who also dispensed wise advice for the health.
The restaurant La Casa del Brodo is really a Palermitan institution. In 1940 the countess Franca Tasca d’Almerita sent for the soup for the palace soups; the boiled potato won Rod Steiger, Raf Vallone, the Cardinal, the Tebaldi.
With passion, in the kitchen and dining room you’ll find the fourth and fifth generation of the founder.
